Swiss
steak
1 pound round
steak
Seasonings to
taste
2 teaspoons (10ml)
vinegar
2 medium onions,
sliced
½ cup celery,
diced.
Method:
Trim steak and cut into 4
portions. Pound
the steak to break down the
tissue. Sear
meat on both sides and then cover with
water, add vinegar, celery, seasonings
and onion.
Continue cooking in the oven or on the
stove top until the meat is
tender. If you
want you can add 2 cups tomato juice
instead of the water.
