Sandwiches
Hot Open-Faced Beef Sandwich
1 tablespoon (15ml) bouillon liquid
1 pound lean, ground beef (mince)
1 cup chopped, green pepper
1 cup chopped onion
1 cup diet catsup
2 tablespoons (30ml) prepared mustard
Artificial sweetener to equal 1 teaspoon sugar
1 tablespoon (15ml) vinegar
Toasted bread.
Method: Brown beef in the bouillon.
Prepare the vegetable mix and then combine the remaining
ingredients. It is a good idea to do this ahead of time
so the seasonings blend well. Add vege mix to beef
mixture. Turn the heat to low and simmer, covered, for
half and hour. Toast bread on both sides and spoon mix
over it.
