Punch

 

2 litre diet  Sprite

1 packet blueberry Kool-Aid with Nutrasweet

1 46 ounce tin chilled, unsweetened pineapple juice

 

Method:  Chill all together and pour into a punch bowl; Decorate with mint sprigs.

 

  

Fruit Frappe

(Makes 1 serving)

 

Sugar substitute to equal 1 teaspoon (5ml) sugar

1 cup fresh, washed strawberries or half a banana, ½ cup pineapple or 1 fresh, peach

1 cup (240ml) milk

¼ teaspoon (1.25ml) vanilla

4 ice cubes

Sprig mint for garnish.

 

Method:   Mix all ingredients in the blender until the ice is crushed and the drink thick and foamy.    You might light to add mint, almond, rum or strawberry flavours to enjoy this recipe in a variety of ways.    

 

 

 

Strawberry shake

 

½ cup plain, low-fat yoghurt

½ cup skim milk

½ cup frozen, unsweetened, whole strawberries

½ teaspoon (2.5ml) vanilla extract

1 packet artificial sweetener (Equal).

 

Method:  Place all ingredients into a food processor or blender and work until smooth – serve cold.
