Diabetic snack
bars
½ cup prunes
1 cup dates
1 cup water
1 stick
margarine
1 teaspoon (5ml)
soda
2 eggs
1 teaspoon (5ml)
vanilla
¼ teaspoon (1/25ml)
salt
1 cup flour
1/3 cup chopped
nuts.
Method:
Cream vanilla, eggs and margarine
together. In
another bowl sift all dry
ingredients. Now add
water, dry ingredients, dates, prunes and
nuts to the creamy mix and spread over a
greased baking tray. Cook at
330oF, for up to 20 minutes or until
lightly browned.
