Diabetic Breakfast Recipes
A delicious choice of recipes for breakfasts. A
healthy start to the day for diabetics and the rest of the
family.
Granola
½ cup Grape Nuts cereal
4 cups quick cooking rolled oats
Granulated sugar substitute equal to 1/4 cup sugar
1 cup chopped peanuts
1/3 cup oil
1/2 cup wheat germ
½ cup raisins.
Method: Spread oats on an un-greased baking
sheet and bake at 350oF (180oC) Gas mark 4 for 10
minutes. Mix all the rest of the ingredients except the
wheat germ and raisins. Bake the mix on another
baking sheet for 20 minutes at 350oF (180oC) Gas mark 4 for 20
minutes, stirring at least once to brown everything
evenly. Cool in the oven before stirring wheat
germ, oats and raisins into the mixture. Refrigerate in
jars or plastic containers.
