Apple
turnover
1 apple, peeled, cored and
sliced
1 tablespoon (15ml)
water
1 teaspoon (5ml) lemon
juice
1 slice white
bread
¼ teaspoon (1.25ml)
cinnamon
Artificial sweetener to equal 2
teaspoon (10ml) sugar.
Method: Cook
sweetener, cinnamon, lemon juice and water with
the apple, until tender then cool
off. Take
the crust off the bread and roll it
thin. Put the apple
mix on half of the bread and fold
diagonally. Moisten edges
and press together with a
fork.
Bake at 425oF (220oC) Gas mark 7, slowly,
until the turnover is crisp.
